Hey Ray, thanks for the help. I have checked that folder and it contains:
– font.css
– iconsweets-webfont.eot
– iconsweets-webfont.svg
– iconsweets-webfont.ttf
– iconsweets-webfont.woffDoes that look right to you?
The fonts folder I found in what I thought might be the appropriate github repo for the CBOX theme was actually empty, so I didn’t find anything to compare it to… maybe I’m looking in the wrong place. Where is the best place for me to download the theme in full so that I can try a full re-install?
Thanks!
Alan

We have not been able to get notifications of forum posts to send at all (tried multiple installation, themes, settings, etc.). Are you in DC still? Maybe we could meet up and try to trouble shoot this plugin together.
December 26, 2012 at 3:47 pm #1509Alan WebbParticipantHey Ray, thanks for your help! We haven’t been able to solve this so far, even with a complete re-install from scratch (As an aside, we also created a group to test this on the Commons in a Box demo site and had the same issue there… this help and support forum is the only place I’ve been able to see email notifications of forum activity work), so I appreciate your help.
As for the forum settings, I’m attaching screenshots. What I mean is that- as per the CBOX installation instructions- the BuddyPress Forums component is deactivated and the CBOX Plugin bbPress Forums is activated.

Great idea to change the settings on receiving my own posts. Unfortunately that didn’t seem to make any difference. To be sure, I created a second account and joined a group just to test and see if that was the issue.
Screenshots of the settings for my user and for the group attached.
Any other ideas for settings to check??
Thanks so much!

Since I don’t have a developer account there, hearing someone else’s experience before buying would be nice.
Thanks again Mark!
December 22, 2012 at 3:01 pm #1481Alan WebbParticipantThanks Mark! We sound like we’re in a similar boat. We’ve got a few immediate trouble-shooting issues and a pretty good aspirational list of things:
Immediate Concerns
* Group Email Subscriptions not sending notifications of forum activity. Works fine for member-to-member messages, and all of system notification emails. I even got the reply-by-email plugin working just fine, but I just can’t get email notifications of forum activity to send regardless of settings. I’ve tried all of the usual fixes (reinstalling from scratch, disabling all other plugins, checking on forum settings, etc.) but haven’t found any help online that applies to us, after a few hours of sleuthing. I started a Help & Support thread on that one here.
* Infinity Theme options editor is hanging up… just spins “loading option editor” infinitely.Improvements / Customizations – small things we can probably get working on our own
* Group Scheduling – e.g., maybe something like the WPMU Dev Group Calendar Plugin.
* User Location – e.g. maybe this google maps integration
* Social Login – e.g. maybe the WordPress Social Login
* Bebop or Courseware plugins – these are great, but are throwing errors when we try to use them, but the devs seem aware of the issues.Wishlist – bigger things that probably need help to do…
* Spiffy up User Profiles and Member Directory a bit more. It’s really important to make members look as good as we can and really showcase their work. I feel like we are going to need some pro design help to do this well.
* Custom User Relationship types – rather than “friends” declare specific relationships to other members… e.g. [study buddy], [mentor], [advisor], etc.
* User Levels – corresponding with progress through the program (e.g. prospective member, member, candidate for graduation, graduate)
* Awards / Badges and Open Badges Interface integration.
* Integrate our Member Checklist into user profiles so that each person can check off and show their progress.December 22, 2012 at 1:10 am #1476Alan WebbParticipantAchievements Plugin blew up badly

Threw php errors and had to be uninstalled.
Sorry, didn’t get a screenshot before removing it. -
