Open Lab theme- Can’t edit site wide footer

    I am having trouble with the OpenLab theme. Specifically the community-wide footer and the center block.

    When I go into customizer, I can edit the header of the middle block, however, no matter how many times I try, I can’t seem to edit the text in the middle column, so it remains stuck with the default text of customizing this footer.

    I made a 1 minute video to show what I was seeing. Where I change things in the customizer, but they still aren’t showing up in the main site.

    I’m pretty frustrated, so if I am missing something obvious, be gentle. 😉
