    Scott, et al,

    I asked around and found a solution to the gray overlay problem.  I used the “Add Admin CSS” plugin and added some CSS to the “Admin CSS” window within the plugin:

    .ui-widget-overlay.ui-front {
    display: none !important;
    }

    Then, I navigated off the Theme Options page within CBox and cleared my cache.   <span class=”st”>Voilà</span>!   No more gray overlay.

    Thanks to Michael and Michelle over at WPMUdev for this solution.  Thanks also to you, Scott and to you, Ray and Christian for being there and for doing all the heavy lifting on CBox and its support.  I really appreciate your effort.

    Cheers!

    Hi Melynda @melynda –

    Great – I’m glad you are up and running.  Still curious about what caused that issue – will keep in mind if  any other CBOX users experience it.  Thanks again for reporting!

    Hi –

    Also – forgot to mention – BuddyPress and all the other CBOX plugins don’t appear on the “Plugins” page – your should just see  the “CBOX” plugin – which is the “manager” for the various plugins that make up Commons in a Box.

    Hello everyone.

    I’m having the same issue described by Melynda, although her fixing didn’t seem to work for me. Fresh WP + CBOX install, no plugins, using Chrome and Firefox, and for some reason I can’t explain, a grey overlay occupies my screen and doesn’t let me to change most configurations.

    I have wide experience in WP, so I have tried some solutions, but none seems to work X(

    BTW, Merry Christmas to everyone…

    Hi Oscar @adminlmv –

    Thanks for reporting this issue that @melynda originally found.  I have opened up a ticket on GitHub so that the dev team will investigate.

    Here is a link where you can track their progress: https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cbox-theme/issues/223

    Hi Oscar @adminlmv —

    Can you post a screenshot of what you are experiencing?

    Is it possible for you to start your WP / CBOX install from scratch? If so, please enable debug logging first:

    And report back.

    Hi @adminlmv, @vkick, @melynda and anybody else in the past that has participated in this thread,

    I’ve added a potential fix for the recent problems with WordPress 4.1 and the image uploader on the CBOX Theme Options page here:
    https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cbox-theme/commit/d9982255b222978883e9eee823be944c061c5f5b

    If you are not able to test with Git, copy and paste the contents of this file:
    https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cuny-academic-commons/cbox-theme/d9982255b222978883e9eee823be944c061c5f5b/engine/includes/setup-cbox.php

    to:
    /wp-content/themes/cbox-theme/engine/includes/setup-cbox.php

    And let me know if that fixes your issue.

    This fix should also address lingering issues with the CBOX Theme Options page that has accumulated in this thread from v1.0.5 and on.
