I’m thinking less about network moderators, though, than individual site owners within the network. I definitely get the intensiveness, of course, but I’m wishing for a way that a user could obtain a snapshot of the tasks waiting for them throughout the network…

I have two site features appearing in the slider right now; every once in a while, when the page loads, the slider loads the caption boxes for both slides on top of the first one, and then the second image has no caption box. A refresh usually fixes it, but I thought I’d let you know nonetheless.
Thanks for all your help!
January 2, 2013 at 7:57 am #1577Kathleen FitzpatrickParticipantHi. Any updates on the ability to create links in captioned text?
December 14, 2012 at 6:43 pm #1398Kathleen FitzpatrickParticipantHere they are. Thanks!

December 10, 2012 at 2:34 pm #1304Kathleen FitzpatrickParticipantI’m using “Show Site Features,” and the slides are taking me to those posts with no problems (with the URL [domain]/features/[title]. I’m having a related problem, though: I need to have links within the caption text enabled, as they are in the slider in use at http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/. Any hints on how to do that? Thanks!
December 8, 2012 at 2:36 pm #1221Kathleen FitzpatrickParticipantHi, Ray. Thanks for the answer. Looking at our BP settings, it does appear that we turned on group forums in the BP setup process. It sounds from your links as though it would be better to have bbPress run our forums (not least so that the sitewide forums page works a bit better, and so that we can get to the forums in the backend), so if you do get that conversion process debugged, please let me know. Right now, we don’t have terribly many group forums, and there hasn’t been much activity on them, but we’re of course hopeful that that will change soon — so the sooner we make the conversion, the better. I’ll look forward to hearing more — thanks again! –K.
December 7, 2012 at 8:17 pm #1217Kathleen FitzpatrickParticipantHi, Matt. That seems in fact to be the case: I can see everything when I’m logged in, but when I’m not, the posts vanish from the Recent Networkwide Blog Posts feed and from the Activity stream.
I did have a user on the pre-alpha site who was able to see a post in Recent Networkwide Blog Posts that he shouldn’t have been able to see, but perhaps you guys took care of that between then and now. I’ll let you know if any other weirdness arises — thanks for the response!
December 5, 2012 at 1:02 pm #1209Kathleen FitzpatrickParticipantHi, Ray. Can you tell me a bit more? What needs to happen, configuration or setup-wise, to be sure that we’re using bbPress to power the group forums, rather than the bundled forums? I’m not sure I understand the difference.
For instance, if we’ve created a group through the CBOX front end, is its forum automatically a bbPress forum, or do we have to do something when setting up the software to be sure we’re using only the bbPress forums?
Thanks!
