I just had a thought for a future feature which I thought I’d pass on, pie in the sky though it may be:

Say you’re a member of a CBOX network, where you not only have an account on the core site but also have accounts of editor or above on one or more affiliated blogs.

It would be awesome if, when you are logged in, the notifications flag would tell you not only if you have new friend requests or mentions or messages or whathaveyou, but also let you know if you have comments in moderation on any of your blogs.

    Thanks! –K.

Depending on the size of your WordPress network, this could be a very intensive thing to achieve.

I would look for some WordPress plugins to handle multisite comment moderation like:

    https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mu-manage-comments-plugin/

Note: I haven’t tested this, but it does not add an entry in the notifications toolbar.

I’m thinking less about network moderators, though, than individual site owners within the network. I definitely get the intensiveness, of course, but I’m wishing for a way that a user could obtain a snapshot of the tasks waiting for them throughout the network…

CBOX has its roots in the CUNY Academic Commons, which in turn was made possible through funding from The City University of New York itself.
