An admin on the site accidentally “kicked and banned” a member of a course — and now I can’t figure out any way to get her back in. As an administrator, I can see she is still a member of the site, but I cannot get her name to pull up in the “Invite” form. Her name doesn’t appear – I suspect because of the “kick and ban”. But if I just try to invite her by email – it won’t allow because she is already a member of the site.  Any ideas on how can I restore her as a member of a course?

    Hi Sally,

Thanks for reaching out! You’ve come across a bug that we’ll be fixing in our next release, which we’re in the process of scheduling.

In the meantime, as the super admin you can unban the member:

    1. Go to Network Admin > Groups
    2. Search for the name of the course and click on the title of the course, to edit.
    3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and you should see a list of banned members.
    4. In the Group Role dropdown for the banned user, change from “Banned” to “Member” and click “Save Changes” (on the right side of the page, towards the top).

This will reinstate the student as a regular member of the course.

I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have any questions about the process!

    Thanks!

    Bree
