Good greetings to all from your support group new guy.  Getting started and like to start with two seemingly simple questions.  Attached pdf to assist explanation of both.

(1). How do I unhide the apparently hidden row of selectable Pages in the Header.  That is, the 1st row of Menu Pages, is not visible (perhaps somehow hidden behind that banner?) and the second row is visible.  Page Names are actually present in that first row and selectable however, names are not visible.  They are selectable because I can hover over the area and when the cursor changes I can select and get to the “About,” “Members,” “Projects,” etc.   Pages as are aligned and indeed visible in the footer which presents the same Page names.

(2).  How do I get the Featured Image and the text box in the Slider to fit appropriately.  Currently the pic is way too large for the Slider space available and the text box covers half of the Featured Image.

Hi Greg,

The first issue is caused by having too many items in the main menu. Navigate to “Appearance > Menus” in the admin dashboard and under “Select a menu to edit”, select “Main Menu” and remove some links.

For your second issue, I believe the text portion of the slider is meant to take up half the slide width. However, I’m not experienced enough with the homepage slider and the OpenLab theme to offer any feedback. @breezuckerman, you’ve worked with the OpenLab theme more than I have. Do you have any pointers?

Ray is correct that the background of the text portion of the slider is meant to take up half of the slide width. As far as the image size, you will need to crop your images before you add them to the slider. If you crop to a size of 735px width x 295px height before you upload it, they will fit in the slider.

Also, I’m wondering whether you installed CBOX OpenLab from a fresh WordPress Multisite installation? I can’t tell for sure, but it looks like you may have had a site with existing content.

Terrific – thank you both!  Reduced the header links as Ray advised, down to seven (7) and all now appear.  And revised the slider images as Bree advised and all is likewise, good-to-go there also.  I do recall seeing someone’s site where the text was below the images and that is preferred but for now, this definitely works and is again, greatly appreciated.

Regarding Bree’s point about CBOX OpenLab installation, I am relatively certain that OpenLab was installed from a fresh WP Multisite installation, but am wondering what indications you may have that it was not, and likewise wondering if I can investigate any areas within the site to confirm.
