    Hi @michelle-kassorla – I moved you question over to the forum so that we can track it more easily.

    Michelle writes: “I don’t know what is wrong. I sent out invitations to members on a multi-install CBOX, and they can sign up, but the confirmation e-mail never gets sent and they can never get on the site. What do I need to do?”

    Hi Ray

    @r-a-y

    Can you take a look at this one and see what you think might be the issue?  I am not all that familiar with how that process works.  Thanks a lot!

    I tried to join http://hbcucommons.org – and filled out all the info – and can confirm I never received an email confirmation.  I also did the same on my test site, and it worked perfectly.  So am not sure what the issue might be – (only difference is I am not running multisite).

    I was thinking that maybe the confirmation email was going to junk folder or something.

    We have the same type of issue with wangguard installed. Wangguard blocking some people and when we release them they still don’t receive a confirmation email and don’t appear in the member’s list… Could it not be a problem of wangguard?

    For email, you can try two things:

    1. Try using WP Mail From II:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mailfrom-ii/

    This might fix your email sending problems. If not:

    2. Try a WordPress SMTP plugin to send your email like:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/configure-smtp/
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/

    Make sure you have a decent email address to use one of these plugins. If you don’t have one, create one at GMail and read through the FAQs for the plugins. They should support GMail.
