CBOX Classic Plugins

There are hundreds of BuddyPress plugins on the WordPress repository, and selecting which ones work together can be extremely complicated.  CBOX Classic takes the guesswork out of selecting the best plugins for a “Commons” community.  The plugins it manages are all actively maintained and supported.

One of CBOX Classic’s goals is to streamline BuddyPress plugin configuration. We have selected a group of plugins that are fully tested to work together.  As new versions come out, we will test to ensure compatibility, and will release a new version of CBOX Classic.  You will receive notification that there is a new version of the plugin available, and you simply agree to upgrade.  Behind the scenes, CBOX Classic will ensure your system is running with the latest, compatible versions of the BP plugins it manages.

CBOX Classic has three plugin categories: required, recommended, and “a la carte” (or optional).  During initial install, the required and recommended plugins are installed and activated.  From the CBOX Classic dashboard, you can  deactivate the ones you don’t need.  You can always re-activate them at a later date via the CBOX Classic dashboard.  When you upgrade to a newer version of CBOX Classic, your configurations will be saved.
