    Hi all,

We have an OL site in which pdfs can be added to a page, but for some reason, they all link to the document instead of embedding.

Our pdf embedder is network activated.

The siteswere originally cloned with the Multisite Clone Duplicator plugin. This could be related to the problem, but, only one other site is behaving this way, out of dozens of successfully-duplicated sites.

Here is a link to one of the sites with the issue: https://openlab.bmcc.cuny.edu/lizeth-estrada-garcia-portfolio/

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks!

    Hi Syelle,

Sorry to miss this. Are you still experiencing the issue? I’m not familiar with the Multisite Clone Duplicator plugin, so I’m unsure how that could potentially affect your PDF embedder plugin. I also didn’t see the embedding issue on the site you linked to.  It’s hard to tell what’s happening, but it’s likely a plugin issue rather than a CBOX OpenLab issue.

Sorry I can’t be more helpful, but I hope you were able to resolve the problem!

    Best,
    Bree

No, we weren’t able to resolve it–we’re stumped.

Here is a link to a post on that site in which a pdf is linked, because it refused to embed (I’m sorry I didn’t send this more specific link the first time); it’s at the very bottom:

    Thanks, Syelle.

The only thing that comes to mind is whether you also have Google Doc Embedder plugin installed, in addition to the PDF embedder? And if so, is it activated on this site? We did have some issues with that plugin on the OpenLab, and ended up retiring it.

Otherwise, I’m afraid I don’t have any suggestions beyond what it sounds like your team has already done to troubleshoot the issue.
