In previous versions of Cbox, clicking on the tags appearing at the bottom of a wiki page or doc lead us to an error page or the current wiki page.

Now we get to a list of associated wiki pages or docs, but there is a display problem: we have lots of not so relevant things appearing before the actual list of wiki pages and docs related to the tag, putting it very far away in the scroll! :

    – Recent activity of wiki pages appearing first > This is not useful as the list of wiki pages can be sorted by last edited, author etc… It seems the widgets of the wiki home page appear here, where it is not required.

    – Then both for docs & wiki pages, the filtering box appears with loooooong tag list deployed as default -would be better  with filtering search box as default, or just the choice to select the filtering method…

    Here is an illustration: http://dev.commonsabundance.net/wiki/?bpd_tag=resources

Aha — yes, I see the problem. We can work on this for a future version.

Cool. Thanks. Is there something I could add/change to the code somewhere to get the tags list closed in the meantime?

Hi – I have opened up a issue on GitHub for this issue.  You can track it at https://github.com/boonebgorges/buddypress-docs-wiki/issues/12

Hi thanks the update did fix the tag toggle issue. But how do I fix the display of the wiki activity that takes a whole page+ on the top before that actual stuff I’m looking for appear? I don’t want the whole wiki activity to get displayed when I search on a tag…

    Hi @helenef –

I took a look at your wiki.  Are you referring to the “Recently Active” and “Most Active” columns?  These are widgets that can be removed from your dashboard = Appearance>>Widgets .  They are in the “Wiki Bottom Right” and Wiki Bottom Left” sections.

You can also adjust the number of items to display on the widgets themselves.  I think the default is 5.  Or you could place these widgets in the sidebar instead.

If this is not what you are referring to, please provide a screenshot and we’ll take another look.  Thanks!

    Thanks @scottvoth,

Indeed, these are displayed via the widgets, that we DO want on the wiki homepage. But that we don’t want on the page that returns the tagged pages…

You don’t have them when you click on a tag from the tag cloud: http://commonsabundance.net/wiki/browse/?bpd_tag=food

But you have them when you click on a tag at the bottom of a page, or on a wiki pages list: http://commonsabundance.net/wiki/?bpd_tag=food

    Hi @helenef –

Thanks for the clarification.  I have added your request to the ticket here:

Thanks @scottvoth. This was mentioned in the initial question, so it’s not really a new request :).

Is there a ‘patch’ I could apply on the template for this? because I suppose there won’t be a release of a new update before a while… Though I suspect it may not be easy if the display page takes the wiki homepage as ‘basis’…

Also @scottvoth, I just realize that the wiki homepage displays all wikipages under the widgets displayed, which is not a problem except it says ahead of the list:

“You are viewing all docs.” instead of “You are viewing all wiki pages”

    See: http://commonsabundance.net/wiki/

Hi Helene – no, unfortunately something like that can’t be patched with some CSS since it’s really the same page and there is no easy way to identify which mode you are in.

For the second issue, I added the verbiage request to the ticket.
