MU set up with C-Box theme, all latest updates.
1st site.No confirmation email when adding a new user from the dashboard. And when I try to register the name again a message that the name has been taken shows up saying to wait for two days and try again.
2nd site. Different c-box site, Mu set –up. Added user from network dashboard, no password sent. Then added the existing user to the main site from the main site dashboard, no confirmation email sent. User was added ok without the need for an email confirmation.

    Hi Mike,

This sounds more like an issue with WordPress than with BuddyPress or CBOX.

On single site, the “Add New User” screen looks like this:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Users_Add_New_Screen

Did you click on the “Send Password” checkbox when you were creating your user? If so, the new user should receive a generic “Your username and password” email with the site link.

On multisite, the “Add New User” screen looks like this:

If you fill out this form, the new user gets the same email as described above.

I just tested this in both single and multisite and I was able to verify this.

CBOX has its roots in the CUNY Academic Commons, which in turn was made possible through funding from The City University of New York itself.
