Hi Manas – Which version of CBOX are you using?  Have you tried upgrading to newest one?  I think both the issues you mention have been fixed in the most recent release.  Let us know.  Thanks!

Hi Manas – For the first issue, maybe @R-a-y can help out, since he’s the BP Group Email Subscription plugin’s author.  I wonder if somehow (even though you upgraded to the new version of CBOX) – you are not getting the newest version of the plugin?  Let’s wait to see what Ray thinks.

For the second issue – this is slightly different from what several other users have experienced.  They reported that the icons were not working on a regular computer (and that issue has been resolved).  From what you said above, it seems the icons are not working only on mobile devices?  If this is the case, I will open up a ticket for theme developers to take a look at.  Can you verify that the icons are an issue only on mobile devices?

    Thanks!

thank you..the icons are now showing in chrome(for mobile) but not standard android browser..and sir i am not using group email subscription plugin …

i think its a issue with cache or something.. i have tried clearing cache and i am using W 3 total cache plugin..maybe u can suggest something.. should i turn minify off .it might be breaking  java script or something ?

Hi Manas – I was thinking that the double posting you described was related to email notifications.  But from your last response that doesn’t seem to be the case.  I think from what you are now saying, the double posting is happening in the activity stream, whenever someone posts an update or responds to a forum thread?  Is that the case?  Just need to better understand the first issue.

@manas: If the icons works on your desktop but not on your Android, this means it’s a cache issue. I advise you to clear all your caches, or entirely disable total cache when you’re still developing/debugging your site 🙂 Also an issue of double/tripple posting can also be the result of total cache. It’s not really playing nice with BuddyPress. You can read some more about it here: http://buddypress.org/support/topic/configuring-w3-total-cache-with-buddypress/.

If you’re interested in good performance you can read my article on BuddyPress Hosting here: http://bp-tricks.com/buddypress-hosting

@bowe thank you…cache was the issue there..i disabled the plugin and everything seems to work fine now..i also have a question not related to this topic..as you are wordpress pro..i wanted to know if you can tell me some links from where i can learn..i am just a first year student and i dont think my college is going to teach all this..but i really want to learn so i can fix some small issues myself 🙂

@Manus: I had a similar experience with Total Cache in the onset of my project. The plugin offers excellent flexibility and configuration, but this can be to your detriment if you do not know what you are doing (like me). I settled on a WP Super Cache/MaxCDN combination in order to obtain better performance for my Multisite/CBOX site.

Bowe  is definitely the expert, and his post is spot on. Shared hosting is a bottleneck for any CBOX (Buddypress) install.
