Hi, I’m covering admin of a basic buddy press for a colleague who’s out sick, and could use an answer immediately if anyone can help.

Is there a way to avoid having wp display MSWord’s code? It seems to happen sometimes but not all the time when text is pasted directly into the forum topics from word.

We know it can be avoided by a workaround: asking users to go to notepad first & saving as .txt before pasting but don’t want to make them do that if it can be done more easily.  If there is a setting in wp we can change, or even a less cumbersome workaround that would really help.

We’re planning to have dozens of people using the forum for discussion starting today so any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hi Priscilla,

I’m experiencing exactly the same problem. I notice there’s a Paste from Word button on this site’s forum, but the Forum on my site isn’t displaying it.

    Any ideas?

    Best wishes,

    Alex.

Think I’ve got it: I’m using version 1.0.5 so will update.
