    Hi,

We are setting up a new instance at commons.liberalartsassess.sites.grinnell.edu, and would like to be able to upload MS Word documents through the Docs feature. Is there any way to enable this?

    Thanks,

    Mo Pelzel

    Hi Mo,

There doesn’t appear to be a way to upload documents through BuddyPress Docs.

If the MS Word document is simple enough, maybe copy the contents of the Word doc into the editor? Or use another plugin that has a group files feature.

The MLAA has a fork of an older plugin, BuddyPress Group Documents, that you could try:

An alternative is uploading the document to a 3rd-party service like Dropbox or Google Drive and pasting the link into the group document.

CBOX has its roots in the CUNY Academic Commons, which in turn was made possible through funding from The City University of New York itself.
