After upgrading to Commons in a Box 1.0.3, the Slider Header text on my site no longer displays. The text is saved under CBOX Theme Options > Options > Home Page > Slider Setup > Slider Header. If I reset the box to the default text, it still does not display. The slider header text does not display regardless of whether the Slider is turned on or off.

Currently, my site has a giant empty hole front and center.

I have not done anything unusual or exotic with my setup, aside from using WordPress Multisite. I set up the previous version of Commons in a Box on a fresh multisite install about a month ago.

Hi Brad – Developers are looking into this issue – you can track at https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cbox-theme/issues/138

Thanks, I followed the link and it seems that this is part of a wider Widgets problem? For example, my Recent Networkwide Blog Posts widget no longer works either. Posts that it displayed before the update still show up, but posts published after the update do not show up in the widget. The same goes for the BuddyPress version of the Recent Networkwide Blog Posts widget.

Is this the same underlying issue, or does it merit its own thread?

    Hi Brad,

Scott actually linked to the wrong issue regarding the slider text problem.

    The actual link is here:
    https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cbox-theme/issues/113

As for your “Networkwide Blog Posts” widget, this could be a BuddyPress issue.  Please create a new topic to keep things separate.

    Thanks!

Thanks Ray, the code snippet posted there brought the Header content back.

Just a heads up, this is still an issue in 1.0.4. The bubblegum fix still works too.
