Hello there 🙂   I’m having an intermittent problem with Buddy Docs.

 

I have Commons in a Box 1.0.7 installed on a dedicated DreamPress server.  From time to time I notice a persistent problem crops up and hangs around, and I’m not entirely sure what resolves it.  The last time it happened there was a WordPress update, and things seemed to settle down, so I chalked it up to a bug that had been nixed.  Not so this time.

 

When I create a new Doc, and then save it, it returns me to the blank create screen, and does not save the doc.  This problem occurs when using Chrome, Firefox and Pale Moon, so it doesn’t appear to be browser related.  It also doesn’t seem to matter if I’m logged in as the administrator, or if one of my base users is logged in.  We are running into the exact same problem.

 

I’m wondering if anyone else has run into this glitch?  If so, what did you do to resolve it?

 

Thanks a bunch in advance for any assistance someone might be able to provide to help me troubleshoot this.

While today’s Commons in a Box 1.0.8 update seems to have corrected the problem partially, it’s created another along the way.

I am now able to save a new document, but when I do, it dumps a cascade of errors to the screen:

Yikes, what a careless error on my part.  I hadn’t taken the update far enough.  It still required the sub components to be updated.  Once I read the screen and followed through the problems were resolved.

 

All appears to be well again.
