Mary Wilkinson ( @Mary) reports: “Every time I try and post a reply to a topic or start a new topic on this forum (i.e. submit button) it doesn’t show at all.”

I looked at the site-wide activity stream and saw that you registered and changed your avatar – but I don’t see any other activity – which is strange – since I received notice of your status update via email (since I was mentioned in the content).  I was thinking that maybe Akismet was filtering it out for some reason – but we should still be able to see it in the activity stream.

I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?

Also @Mary – can you please try to reply to this thread to see if the issue is persistent.  Thanks.

    Ok, worth a try.

I was trying to post to the this thread:

    https://commonsinabox.org/groups/help-support/forum/topic/top-menu-background-change-not-working/

Because I wanted to know if there was an update on the issue. Then I realized that my replies weren’t sticking. I even fav’d a couple of threads, but today they aren’t showing in my profile, though I can see it says I fav’d it on the actual thread. So there are many odd things going on which makes using this forum frustrating.

    Thanks for the help.

Heard back from @Mary, who tried again – but with no luck: “still having the same issues, tried to reply to your response, but it wouldn’t work. Even my messages to you don’t show on my activity stream on my profile.”

@r-a-y – any ideas what might be the issue?

@scottvoth – Mary’s status updates and forum posts are being marked as spam by Akismet.

I’ve just unspammed Mary’s forum posts.

Scott, you can view spammed forum posts by navigating to the WP Dashboard. Next go to “Replies > All Replies”. Then, find the “Spam” link and click on it.

Similarly, for BuddyPress activity updates, navigate to the WP Dashboard. Next, click on the “Activity” tab. Then, find the “Spam” link and click on it.

Thanks Ray!  I looked in Activity stream, but forgot about the Replies tab.
