installation troubles

    During a second installation 2 of the BuddyPress plugins failed to install: BuddyPress Docs Wiki and BP Group announcements, with same message: “Could not open handle for fopen() …”

    Probably more importantly, the installation didn’t pick these errors up as a potential problem, if they are.

    Subsequently, I’m getting the same error trying to install the default CBOX theme… I was able to install and activate another compatible theme.

    Downloading install package from https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cbox-theme/archive/1.0.zip…
    Download failed. There are no HTTP transports available which can complete the requested request.

    Update:

    Gave up and started over. This morning every component downloaded without incident.

    Weird. Did you change anything on your server setup?
