    Hello,

I created a sidewide forum using a fresh install of CBOX 1.0.2 + bbPress 2.2.3 included. No change were made with css.

There are 3 things I noticed:

    1. The ‘Topic’ label is not in bold like the others on the forum’s header. You can see this in my first screenshot and also in your group forum page: https://commonsinabox.org/groups/help-support/forum/

    2. The Subscribe icon on a thread’s header looks weird because of a little vertical line, as in my 2nd screenshot. Will these design things be corrected with a future CBOX release?

    3. The post counter begins at #108 for the very first post I created (Group forums were disabled since the beginning with nothing posted). The 2nd post took the number #109 and the 3rd post the number #114. Nothing else was posted on the whole site. Is this a normal behaviour or a possible bug?

Thanks for any answer and for your work!

EDIT: It seems we can’t attach jpg or png files.

    Screenshots are visible here:

    1) and 2) are cosmetic issues and I’ll note them to the theme developers. You could probably fix both with some custom CSS until the theme developers are able to get to this.

    3) The reason the post number starts like that is bbPress forum posts are added as WordPress post items (this includes WordPress blog posts, pages, revisions, etc.). So the post number corresponds to the post ID in the database.

This isn’t great at the moment, but it shouldn’t be too hard to add this functionality into bbPress. I would suggest that you post an enhancement ticket on the bbPress Trac noting this behavior:

Thank you Ray for your detailed answer.

About the thread post ID, the enhancement ticket is created as suggested.

Ticket #2254: “Thread Post IDs starting at #1 and incrementing by thread posts only instead of by all the site components IDs”

Still about bbPress, I was also asking myself why a ‘Super Sticky’ post can go bellow a regular ‘Sticky’ post. For people who are interested I got the answer:

‘Sticky’ and ‘Super Sticky’ posts have the same importance. Sticky order is just based on the last post time. bbPress treats them differently than other forum software does. They just appear at the top of the topic index without hierarchical distinction. The only difference between both is that ‘Super Sticky’ posts appear in each forum of a site.

Just to update this thread, the bbPress ticket was rejected because a solution would need to be custom-coded.

Not sure what the original intention for super stickies were, your question might be better suited for the bbPress forums:
