    Hi,

I’m attempting to set up a community for a client using CBOX. The community will require the use of bbPress, which was on by default, however, I was poking around with the set up of BuddyPress and I visited the inactive plugins tab, and enabled the forum compnonent (under settings > buddypress).

After clicking save, the entire installation, front and back end is now throwing a fatal error:

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in/home/appround/public_html/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 777

I can only assume that this is caused by CBOX already using the bbPress plugin for wordpress? So, activating the BuddyPress Forum Component seems to be conflicting with CBOX… I think…

Thankfully, I had just made a snapshot of the database about 20 mins before, so I didn’t lose much work, but this proved so difficult to trace I ended up having to rollback the database. 🙁

    Hi Greg,

You’re correct that the problem is between the bbPress plugin and BuddyPress’ built-in Discussion Forums component.

To solve this, disable the BP’s “Discussion Forums” component from the “Settings > BuddyPress” page and you should be okay again.

CBOX has its roots in the CUNY Academic Commons, which in turn was made possible through funding from The City University of New York itself.
