    Hello all,

I’m finding that a lot of my users are getting confused when they get an email notification that asks them to click a link (for example, to accept an invitation to a private or hidden group), and then they click the link, but they aren’t logged in yet, so CBOX (I think it’s CBOX that’s doing this) redirects them to the 404 page, and then they think that the link is broken.

Could someone point me in the direction of how to change this behavior so that when a user who isn’t logged in tries to access content that they don’t have permission to see, instead of being redirected to the 404 page, they get redirected to wp-login, and once they login re-directed back to where they tried to go in the first place.

Thanks for any help/direction, and sorry if this isn’t a CBOX issue but something else with my setup.

    Hi Daniel,

It’s a BuddyPress problem and will require a fix there.

Yeah I feared that was the case. I’ve started diving into BuddyPress to try and figure it out.

    Thanks Ray,
    Dan

CBOX has its roots in the CUNY Academic Commons, which in turn was made possible through funding from The City University of New York itself.
