It seems that there are two problems with CBOX run in a secure (SSL) environment.

    1. The plugin itself refuses to work with some SSL-enforcing pluginsĀ  (while it may be a general plugin/WP incompatibility problem – https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-force-ssl/).

    2. When I found a proper plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/https-redirection/), the CSS was lost. And only the CBOX theme has it — switching to https://presscrew.com/shop/product/themes/infinity-engine/ saved the day.

Currently, running an SSL (https) website becomes more and more an industry standard. I believe that it would by really helpful if CBOX comes to terms with it and develop full support of SSL. What do you think?

    Hi Petros,

Thanks for the report. I’ve added this to our issue tracker here:
    https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cbox-theme/issues/239

We’ll look into this before the next release of CBOX.

    Thanks again.

CBOX has its roots in the CUNY Academic Commons, which in turn was made possible through funding from The City University of New York itself.
