    Hi all

I updated my site to Buddypress 1.7, but the toolbar is not showing for logged out users. I have selected “Show the Toolbar for logged out users” in the BuddyPress settings.

Is anyone else having this issue?

I have to ask the embarrassing question… how do you update to BP 1.7?  I can’t find a mechanism to do plug-in upgrades at all!  I have, however, noticed once in a while that the toolbar shows upgrades are available (5 at last count), but clicking to get to the upgrades page shows me a page that says no updates are available.  And then the toolbar stops showing the notification… strange.

I would love to do the 1.7 upgrade because P2 theme is important to my site and doesn’t natively support BP… having the new BP with the ability to work with most ‘regular’ themes would be a huge help (I think).

    Hi MySchoolStuff,

You are correct that the toolbar is not showing up for logged-out users.

There is a ticket for that here:
    http://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4803

Once that is fixed, it should resolve this issue.

    Hi Brock,

To upgrade to BuddyPress 1.7, login to the WP admin dashboard.  Go to the “Dashboard > Updates” link and click on the “Check Again” button to refresh the plugin updates.

Once that it done, you should hopefully be able to see BuddyPress 1.7 as an update.

I had no luck… rather than hijack this thread, I’ll start a new one…

    Hi Brock

You are correct, the update does not show. I’m not sure if this is the correct way to do it, but I disable CBOX, the refresh the “Check for Updates”, update the plugins that need updating, and enable CBOX. This seems to be working for me.
