I am not a developer and I admit to only having enough understanding of how it all works to make myself sound dumb if not dangerous, but I have a basic question. I installed C0mmons in a Box on a new installation to experiment and see if it’ll work for the purposes I need. I am using CBox theme abd am just trying to add a little color for affect, but can’t get any of the basic style parameters to change in the basic theme dashboard. I am saving every time. If it were working, in theory it would look like Rainbow Bright had gone on a bender, but it’s still black and white. Does it require more coding to change basic header colors, etc? Is the theme working on the most recent WP update? Or am I really this inept at this?

    Hi Courtney –

Just wanted to check if you have the latest version of CBOX and (especially) the CBOX theme installed.  I know that we had some problems with some of the theme options in prior versions of the theme, but to my best knowledge, those issues have all been resolved.  You should be able to change all those theme options with little effort.  If you had a previous version of the theme, can you clear your cache to ensure you have the latest.

Can you share a link to your site (publicly or privately) – maybe our dev team can see where things are going awry.  Thanks!

    Hi Courtney,

I was able to duplicate your problem.

If you change the “Layout > Background Color” option, you also have to change the “Layout > Background Image” so it is set to “Disable image, including default”.

Let me know if that fixes your issue with changing the background color.
