Commons In A Box 1.7.0

Commons In A Box 1.7.0 is now available.

This release improves compatibility with the latest versions of WordPress and BuddyPress, and updates all third-party plugins to their latest versions. The OpenLab package includes a number of improvements:

• New feature allows bulk user import for groups
• New “Dashboard Panel” feature allows network admins to show a customizable message on all Dashboards in the network
• New “Main Site Banner” feature allows network admins to show a customizable banner on the main site of the network
• New feature allows group admins to make a specific group “non-joinable”, though the content remains publicly available
• New feature allows group membership list to be sorted
• Improvements to nav menu behavior on group sites, including Block Theme compatibility and better handling during cloning
