I had to abandon this issue and project for a while, due to other priorities….but I’m back at it.

I posted this initially on the BuddyPress forum, because I did not know what the cause was. Now that I’ve narrowed it down to being related to CBOX, I’m posting it over here for further consideration as suggested by @r-a-y.

I updated CBOX and the fix for this issue is partial.

PDFs are now working….I can download them and they can be opened in a variety of target programs.

JPGs are not working. The same error above remains.

I did notice something else this time:

Files attached to Docs are not making it through the upload process in a format that can be read by their respective default programs. This has been true for .xlsx and .jpg files so far.

An end user created a doc, then added a file attachment. When the attachment was tested, it seemed to download just fine and file size appears to be about right.…[Read more]

I would like to have the Group Announcements be available as a “stand alone” item, so I can display them somewhere else on the site (or on another site?)….and/or I would like to reduce the Activity page to default to Show: Announcements, rather than defaulting to Show: Everything.

So glad I stumbled on this thread! I had the same problem, and had posted it in the plugin page at Wordpress.org — but the TinyMCE Advanced plugin solved it. And added some other cool new features. 🙂

Thanks for staying on this, @scottvoth. For the time being, I had to move to a different theme. I noticed (from links in your previous message) that the issue has been around since 2013, and I am in a pinch to get my site up and running fast. I’ll keep an eye on the forum here, and hope that things get worked out soon! 🙂
