Normally yes, this has been the way for the past year and a half since I built the site. But after the recent update, there was only the Base group available to edit. I contacted someone in India who is good with Buddypress and he found this solution and it worked.

Help & Support 10 years, 4 months agoHi there. First of all, thanks for the theme, has helped me create a pretty cool social network. However, I am technically challenged and when updates come out I damn near have a heart attack.
A recent update has caused my members the inability to edit their profile. Only the primary field group is able to be edited.
