Hi there. First of all, thanks for the theme, has helped me create a pretty cool social network. However, I am technically challenged and when updates come out I damn near have a heart attack.

A recent update has caused my members the inability to edit their profile. Only the primary field group is able to be edited.

Can somebody please help me because basically as it stands right now I have a social network without the ability to edit your profile!

    Thanks.

    Hi David –

To edit the other groups, have you tried clicking on Profile>>Edit?  (You need to be logged on.)  You should then see the groups you’ve set up presented in tabs across the page.  Click on the tab (i.e. group) and you should be able to edit that group.  In your case you should see “Name” and “Import Player Profile”.  You should be able to click on “Import Player Profile” and then edit those fields.  Let us know if this doesn’t work.  Thanks.

    Hi Scott.

Normally yes, this has been the way for the past year and a half since I built the site. But after the recent update, there was only the Base group available to edit. I contacted someone in India who is good with Buddypress and he found this solution and it worked.

Hi David – thanks for posting this.  We had one other user with this issue – I am sure he will be appreciative as well.

Thank you, this fixed my problem as well!

Note, the link above says the file to change is:

    cbox-theme/blob/master/members/single/profile/edit.php

however in my installation it was:

    cbox-theme/members/single/profile/edit.php
