Hi, just a small grab bag of feature requests for future develepment:
Setting for selecting a default avatar image
Setting for selecting group default sort order
Primary nav is not drop-downable which limits it to one level.
thanks,
Troy
Thanks, Troy!
I opened up issues for the default avatar and primary nav dropdowns feature requests. Regarding the second, “Setting for selecting group default sort order,” there are a few different places in the dashboard where you can specify sort order. One is in Group Settings, in the Types tab. When you expand to edit each group type, the second field from the top is for Order.
If you want to change the sort order of the group types on the homepage, you can change this in Brand Settings > Visual > Customize > Home Page > Home Main. Here, you can drag and drop the different group types to change the order they appear on the home page.
Finally, if you want to change the order in the primary nav, you can customize this in this in Brand Settings > Visual > Customize > Menus > Main Menu, where you can drag and drop the group directories in the main menu.
Please let me know, however, if aside from these there’s still somewhere where you can’t change the order.
Thanks!
Bree
Hi Bree, I was specifically thinking of courses (/groups/type/course/). There is a search box which lets you filter, but the default display is “last active”. It would be nice to have a configurable default.
Initially it would probably be better to display course alphabetically to users, but enable them to customize the default to something like last active once they are in the courses.
Thank you for putting those other feature requests in for me.

Aha, thanks for the details! I’ve added the feature request here: https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/commons-in-a-box/issues/162
