Should all Sites have the CBOX OpenLab Dashboard available?  I’m trying to include a “Search Box” at the “Site” level, as I’ve done for the “Home Page” level and believe CBOX OpenLab > Group Categories and CBOX OpenLab > Brand Settings > Search Results, is required to do this.

    See the attached PDF.

If the CBOX OpenLab dashboard should be available at all “Site Levels” can you please point me to how I can get it there?  And if not, can you please advise how I may be able to include the Search Box feature shown on page 3 of the attached PDF?

    Thank you.

    Greg.

    Hi Greg,

Only the main site has a CBOX OpenLab section of the Dashboard.

You can add a search widget to any subsite by going to the Dashboard of that site > Visual > Widgets. Here you can add a search widget to the subsite.

This is general WordPress functionality, which is not specific to CBOX OpenLab. You can learn more about adding widgets here: https://wordpress.org/support/article/wordpress-widgets/

    Hi Bree,

Got it, great – thank you!  No CBOX OpenLab sections on any subsites.  Feel better about that – thanks!

And just to confirm you and I are referring to the same Search widget – that one at >Appearance > Widgets allows just a single keyword search box correct, versus the more extensive Search with a keyword search box plus drop boxes for Category, Term, Alphabetical and selection boxes for Open, Cloneable, and Badges as shown on that PDF sent with my support request, pg.3 of 4, correct?

    Thank you again!

    Greg.

    Hi Greg,

Yes, that’s correct — the search widget adds a single keyword search box. The more extensive search is a custom site-wide search, which only appears on the main site.

You may be able to find search plugins that allow for more options than the default search widget. You can look for something here:
