    Hi,

I run a website for an artists community (http://community.artistsmilepost.net) and I am trying to figure out how to make my sites directory only show certain blogs.  For instance, I don’t need my test blog to show up.  I also don’t want certain peripheral blogs to show up on the list, I just want artists’ working websites (blogs and portfolios).

Does anyone know of a way to do this?

I am using the most up-to-date wordpress-cbox-buddypress configuration.

    Thank you,

    Duane Poncy

I believe that BuddyPress only shows public blogs in the default list of
sites, so one easy way to remove test blogs would be to change their
privacy settings. On the CUNY Academic Commons, we use the “More Privacy
Options” plugin, which offers five different privacy settings for blogs.
Choosing anything other than public will prevent the site from showing up
in the sitewide list of blogs.

Keep in mind that if you have admin privileges and you look at the list of
blogs, you may see everything; try viewing the list as a logged-out user or
through a test account to see how the site will look to regular members.

    Best,

    Matt

Thanks, Matt. I will try the “More Privacy Options” plugin. It sounds like what we need.
