    Dear  cbox supporters

    I need your help with this sign up confirmation email issue. people could register using buddypress registration page successfully and have been asked  for confirmation But, the problem is no one is receiving the confirmation email.

    I searched in forums  and many found a solution by doing the following

    networkadmin/tools/buddypress/ check reinstall emails and click repair items buttons. Unfortunately this method is not helping me. I’m really running out ideas to solve this issue. Kindly help me.
    website is http://www.earbook.eu
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Jonathan,

    I’ve seen this problem on some web hosts when sending HTML emails is blocked or misconfigured. You could try adding the following to your child theme’s (it’s good to see you’re using a child theme!) functions.php file:

    add_filter( 'bp_email_use_wp_mail', '__return_true' );

    This will disable the HTML emails and revert back to the plaintext ones that WordPress sends out by default.

    Cheers, Christian
