I have tried to reply by email to some forum posts- even experimenting a little with how I am writing, where I am writing above the |||||— Reply ABOVE THIS LINE to add a comment —}}}}… is there some sort of trick I do not know about? I get a reply from cbox.org saying:

    Hi David,

Is the email address you are using to reply the same email address
associated with your account? Sounds like that may not be the case — maybe
you’re forwarding email from one account to another?

It is the same account. I am using Thunderbird as an email client.

    Any other ideas about this?

    Hi David,

Have you tried disabling RBE, waiting 5-10 minutes, and then re-enabling? That might help.

Please give that a try and report back. Thanks.

    Thanks...
This happens when I try to reply to the forum here. I have not tried it
on my install yet, as I am mostly exploring with a local installation
and it does not seem like it would work.

I do not have access to the RBE here. Are others able to reply by email?

Hi @David – Commons developers will take a look at this.  I have opened up an issue for this at:

    http://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/2937

You can track its progress there.  Thanks for reporting.

I was curious about this problem. I went to track it, and it asks for a password when you click on the link.

Hi David – sorry about that link.  You can try this one: http://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/projects/cunyac

This will provide access to the Commons redmine site without having to create an account.  Click on the issues tab, and search for issue 2937.  I think it is on the second page dated 12/17/2013.

It looks like the dev team is still investigating this issue.
