I have tried everything I can think of but the theme’s options screen just doesn’t do anything. I just see a red cross icon and an OK button.
There are no errors in the apache error log, and nothing in the error_log files in your home directory, so I’m afraid any internal error is being trapped within my PHP code on purpose, but is not being reported to the screen.
I have tried the child theme and disabled every single plugin barr the commons iin a box 1.0.5.1. I can upload a logo etc when using the default buddypress so I am assuming that my theme is creating the problem. Is that right? I don’t want to ditch it having come this far but I am stuck as to what to do next. Any advice?
I have tried with out the commons plugin and it’s still the same thing in theme options and my slider is still a mess. I have also tried buddypress theme and can upload an image to the header there (not sure if that is buddypress equivalent of theme options). Is it possible to go backwards with the theme? My theme options and slider did used to work.
I had this same issue and narrowed it down to have the MP6 (Automattic) plugin installed. Disabled that and was able to get the red x to go away and the options page was back to normal.
Thanks for the reply Geoff, I have deactivated all of my plugins (even deactivated commons plugins) but still no effect. Did you have to delete the plugins? I was trying to avoid losing my data but is there a chance that something is stored on my web files? I’ll maybe start with deleting admin type plugins seeing as that looks like what MP6 is – is that right? Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
