    Hi, I can not get the selected overlay visible in footer, same overlay works fine in header.

    • Cbox version 1.0.6
    • BuddyPress version 1.9.1
    • WP version 3.8

    I’ve created a child-theme and added the overlay image in the texture folder so I could select it from the theme options page. The background-color is then set in the CSS (see tag below) since I want my own configuration.

    body.theme-option #header, body.theme-option .footer-wrap { my bg-color }

    Am I using wrong tag for the footer? Should it be body.theme-option #footer instead? As mentioned, everything works and looks as expected in header but not in footer an I can not figure out why.

    Hi @Magnus – Thanks for reporting this.  I tried this on a test site, using the CBOX theme, and got the same results.  I have opened an issue on GitHub here:

    https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cbox-theme/issues/182

    You can track its progress and resolution.

    I think once the parent theme is fixed, your child theme will be also – but if you want to provide a link to your site we can take a look…  Not totally sure what the problem is.

    Also, I noticed that you have gone ahead and upgraded to the new version of BuddyPress.  You might experience some issues, since our default theme is not yet compatible with the new version of BP.  I expect that a new version of CBOX will be coming out soon – but just a FYI that you might notice some incompatibility until then.

    Thanks again for reporting.

    Same result – still not working despite newest version CBOX.

    CBOX: 1.0.7

    BuddyPress: 1.9.2

    WP: 3.8.2

    Thanks Magnus –

    I have updated this issue on github.  Marci Abraham (@marci) has also recently noticed this issue.  I don’t think the footer (in general) is accurately reflecting the changes made in the cbox options panel.

    Thanks for staying on this, @scottvoth. For the time being, I had to move to a different theme. I noticed (from links in your previous message) that the issue has been around since 2013, and I am in a pinch to get my site up and running fast. I’ll keep an eye on the forum here, and hope that things get worked out soon! 🙂
