hoping for some clarity… without taking the time to test things myself
I have a multisite network. I have network activated BuddyPress (so activity and sites can be shown on main site). I need to minimize the number of network activated plugins – I don’t want to burden, confuse or clutter subsites.
I’m considering the BuddyPress Groupblog plugin to have subsite blogs. If I use CBOX what needs to be network activated? are subsite admins going to have access? (I don’t want them dinking around with any buddypress stuff)
thanks
By default, CBOX will network-activate all of its component plugins. If you want to control the plugins yourself, add define( 'CBOX_OVERRIDE_PLUGINS', true );
to your wp-config.php. Subsite admins will not be able to access the Network admin pages and therefore won’t be able to access the settings there. I would highly recommend a test install so you can see the effect for yourself.
Best wishes, Christian
thanks
