I am suddenly having problems in that some new members are bypassing the required profile fields. For those new members that don’t fill in any other fields than user name and email, I don’t receive an email notify me that a new member has registered, yet they do appear in the front end of the site. Anyone any ideas why and what I can do to force required fields again?

Hi Sam – Can you go to Users>>Profile Fields and edit each profile field you’ve added.  Look for the dropdown selection box labeled “Field Requirement”?  There you can make the field required.  Maybe they got flipped to not required on the upgrade to new version?  Hope that fixes the problem.

Hi Scott, thanks  the reply. All my profile fields are still marked as required but I have reset them so I shall wait and see if new members can still bypass them.
