Hi, This is probably not a commons problem but if anyone could help or point me in the right direction I would be really grateful. I have been told that my site studentsurveyor.com is not viewing properly in internet explorer – I know it works in safari and chrome but I am at a complete loss as to how I would go about fixing it. Again, apologies if this is not the right place to post.
Hi Sam,
Sorry to hear some of your members are having issues on the site. We have tested CBOX on all major browsers and while IE might have some smaller layout quirks, nothing should be broken or unusable. It would be nice if you could provide us with a more detailed description of your issues (screenshots are always incredibly helpful)
Hi Bowe – herein some screen shots to remedy my school boy error of asking a question without indicating where I’d gone wrong 😉
site in IE 1 – shows missing menu tabs (site in Chrome offers a comparison with alternative view in different browser). There is also the slider issue that has already been flagged as a probable upgrade issue. Mine now only shows the original first two slides but I haven’t yet checked to see if the others simply need reloading.
site in IE 2 – shows a slight overlap in directories. Again this appears fine in Chrome and Safari.
site in IE 3 – is a screenshot of what is probably an upgrade issue. In wiki my header text/widget has reappeared, however between the text and the wiki list is a ‘viewing all docs’ block (with all links leading to nowhere). This brings me to one more question (again apologies if this question is in the wrong place) – is there a way to insert text above the members and group directories (i.e. like the wiki text, currently inserted by widget)?
Thanks for the help, it’s much appreciated.
I’ll try again – one of the images was too big and to add to the confusion I seem to have reversed the labeling for ‘site in IE 1’ and ‘2’! So here’s a retry of the missing menu tabs when viewed in Internet Explorer – as you can see when running the mouse along the line the menus do show up in negative.  As an aside you may also note that there is a slight truncation/squeeze on log in avatars. Cheers.
Which version of IE are you using?
Hi, they say they are using IE 7
Sorry they have just coe back and said they think it’s actually IE 9 they are having trouble viewing with.
