Image to display for Category?

    Hey Guys,

    Is there an easy way to display the “image” thats associated with a post (even when its not set as a featured image) when doing a listing of things in a category or tag…

    Hi @localfrs – Maybe others will have some better suggestions – but you might be able to do it with RSS.  Create a feed for your category and find a plugin that lets you display only images.  I noticed this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/rss-image-widget/ – not sure if it works or does what you want.   But maybe you can search for others.

    what worked for me is i used the plugin get_the_image — it grabs the first image associated with a post
    I then added that to that theme
