Hi! I’d like to create a “Welcome to CBox” box just like the one on the demo site. I’d like it to include a link to the register page. I was wondering if anyone could walk me through this. I apologize for the very basic question!

Hi Allison –

I think the “Welcome to CBox” section on the Demo is just a simple “Text Widget”.  To get a sense of the homepage setup – check out “CBOX Homepage and Slider” at  https://commonsinabox.org/documentation/cbox-slider

The widget area you’ll want to use is “Homepage Top Right.”  So you can go to Appearance>>Widgets” and find the text widget and drag it over there, and configure it as you choose.

Other stuff you might want to include in the top right widget area is the “CAC Featured Content” plugin’s widget.
