    Hi,

I would love to install CBox on a subdomain as in commons.rootdomain.com rather than in the rootdomain.com.  I see the example websites have it this way, but I don’t see how to do it.  Would someone please tell me how to get my install onto a subdomain?

    Thank you!

    David

    Hi

As I understand it this is a question for your hosting company not CBOX. You can ask them to create a sub domain and place a fresh instal of WordPress there & then follow the CBOX instructions.

    Hope that helps.

@GordonR, your nudge was just what I needed!  I had set up my root domain as a multisite with *.rootdomain.com.  When you do it this way, you cannot set up a separate WordPress install.  Your nudge reminded me to simply go to cPanel and set up commons.rootdomain.com specifically and create a new MySQL database and manually load the new DB info into the new /commons/config.php  file and then run the WordPress install.php manually in the /commons/ folder.  Very simple and easy and best of all, it works!  Thank you very much!
