I have tried to reset the theme (by deleting and reinstalling) but I don’t see any home page with widgets and sliders. In fact on this new install home is defaulting to members.

I would love to integrate the home page and customize it. Please advise.

    Thanks.

Hi Simon – Can you check to see which template you are using on your home page.  It should be “Homepage Template.”  This post helps explain its components: https://commonsinabox.org/documentation/cbox-slider which are all widgets controlled in “Appearance>>Widgets” – they are all optional – if you don’t set them up, they won’t display. But there should be default widgets in place for most.

    Hi Scott,

Thanks for the help. I am not sure how to check what “Homepage template” I am using. Where do I check for that?

I did not realize I need to activate the widgets. I learned about them from the documentation but I don’t see where they go as there is not homepage still. Thanks for the help.

I figured out how to activate the template. Thanks. I will work with it and let you know if I have questions. Sometimes it is the simplest things seem difficult. 🙂

Scott do you have any idea why members page is set to the home page? Is that theme’s default? I tried to change it in customizer and i cannot.

    Thanks.

I figured this one out! I had to set the static page to posts/home not page/home! 🙂
