When looking at some of your showcase sites I noticed that CUNY has fantastic looking profile pages. At the moment in order separate out registration by user type (students, lecturers, universities and companies that have different field requirements) and for our student members to display education, work experience etc. I use BUAT PRO but have to allow for an attachment for CV’s/Resumes because endless fields can look messy and there is no way of gauging how much work experience they wish to add and no ability to add extra sections from the front end (there is a plugin: BP Resume Page but it isn’t compatible with cbox). What we have works fine but is no where near as professional looking, I was wondering whether the CUNY profiles are created with a plugin or likely to be included in the next cbox update :). I appreciate that the answer is likely to be that you have invested a lot of time and money into customising the CUNY site but thought I would ask on the outside chance that it’s something I could use!

Thanks, Sam. What you see on the CUNY Academic Commons now is code that has
been customized for our site. We have plans to abstract it and incorporate
these profiles into CBOX, but we do not yet have a timetable for that work.

That  is fantastic news. I really appreciate all the work you guys put into making cbox so easy to use (even for me!) and the thought that the ‘all singing, all dancing’ profiles will at some stage be included is really exciting.

    Hi,

me too, I’d love to see those profiles in CBOX. It’s actually the only thing I really miss – and I believe it really could be helpful to a lot of users 🙂

    Thanks in advance!
