This is more of a feature request.  I’ve been setting up three different types of sites.  One type is an electronic newsletter type of site with content generated by students for parents.  Then I have a site I built out completely for the students to have a closed facebook type of community.   Both of these uses seem to scale well.

Now I have been trying to get a course management system in place.  Moodle is too much.  The courseware plugin is good as far as it goes.  It is built on top of buddypress yet will not work in multisite.  What it does do that I can’t get CBOX to do is allow me to create a group (course) and post lectures and assignments.  There is also quizes and a rudimentary gradebook. This area allows for a self graded quiz or a “private” post that I can review and issue a grade for. It would be great it I could roll this functionality into the “facebook” site.  Students can work and socialize all at the same time.  Plus by having their own blog with admin rights to it they learn wordpress.

Please add the courseware plug in with your list of compatible options…..

    Thanks,

Having CBOX and Courseware play nicely together would create an amazing learning experience for students.

CBOX has its roots in the CUNY Academic Commons, which in turn was made possible through funding from The City University of New York itself.
