I know there is an option to make the Community private, but this hides all community content. Is there a way to have the groups visible, but the members and their profiles not visible, for example?
I would be interested in hearing how other people have manage this.
Hi – groups can be public, private (i.e. a non-member can see that they exist and who the admins are, and can request membership, but the group content is not viewable), or hidden. For a hidden group, a non-member would not even know the group exists.
It sounds like you might be looking for a little more visibility than a private group offers? Private groups can also have public blogs where members can showcase their work.
Permissions for group blogs can be configured in a number of ways to allow members to post to them and control visibility.
Hope this helps.
Hi Scott. Thank you for your input.
Unfortunately making the community private hides the public groups from guests, and I would like my guests to access the content of these groups.
