Hi here are a few basic presentation questions. I’m sure I’m not looking in the right places:

Where/how do I create the general footer of the site, with logos, creative commons links or icons etc etc?
Wiki: is there a way to generate tables of content? To insert anchors to skip down in the page (as in wikimedia)
Wiki page editor: Where can we add a generic text to appear below the edit window on new page or edit mode?

Thanks for showing me where to look!

I appreciate the work/thinking  you’re doing, looked at http://menemania.typepad.com as well as, http://commonsabundance.net.

You’ve made changes to the footer showing at

Members Directory | Commons Abundance Network

So I’m guessing, this is the “Frontpage” footer you’ve customized?

    Have you tried working from:

    Dashboard>appearance>widgets:

MIght not be the right answer, but that’s where I’d start. I look forward to seeing commons abundance Network grow!

Thanks! Yes I just discovered that the footer we have are the default ones that someone added a text into. So I will indeed work from the widgets. Maybe take the site map away from the footer and put the critical pages in the start menu.

I didn’t find how to add pages to the top menu as drop down just as on the CBOX site…

dashboard > pages > add new.

    once  you’ve created some pages:

    Appearance > Menus

You have to name and save a menu, upper right area “my menu” then in the pages palate on the left select the pages you want and

    > Add to menu

you can drag to change order or create hierarchy, remember to save menu. one more thing, on the left there’s a place to specify where the menu will show, there may only be one choice, probably “primary” (some themes have additional choices).

    Hope this helps
