Hi everyone. I need some help desperately :-)
I have just tried to use a few different themes (including CBOX which is the current theme) with an existing site. The first real problem I have is that any h tags in the activity stream are not being saved when you edit an activity and if any html tags (other than those in the tools of the editor) are not being displayed. I’m absolutely going nuts. The site is a devsite http://siteshackdevsites.info/ssrebuild/ The old site is sharingstories.org. This site with its theme works fine any html code you put in the activity editor works is saved and displayed. Please anyone show me the light!! :-)

    Many thanks

Hi Danny – I did a quick test by going the the activity stream in my dashboard and editing an item.  It seems the only tags that are permitted are the ones that are shown on the TINY-MCE.  Are you saying that your previous site was running BuddyPress, and you were able to enter other HTML tags on activity stream edit?  Could you possibly have a plugin running that provides this functionality there? Or any customization?

–I wonder if you have any thoughts about this one?  Thanks!

    Hi Scott

Thanks for getting back to me

I found how the previous developer had achieved this with some code  added to the functions.php. Happy to provide if of interest. BP still baffles me a bit 🙂 Not sure why there isn’t a WYSIWYG editor for activity submissions seems so dated and limiting. Not sure why Tiny Mce dont jump in or have they. BuddyPress a bit new to me 🙂 I love CBOX but to be honest unless BP shapes up a bit I think I’ll use Joomla where you get so much more out of the box !!

Not being controversial here but BuddyPress is just too cumbersome and not really supported (you guys excepted and a few others of course)
