I’m using the common in a box template for our website, however, the website is very slow. Can someone please help with how to fix my slow loading website?

Thanks for the link — and it’s great to find out about this installation! The site is loading quickly for me; are there particular pages where you are finding the page loads to be slow? And has this issue been going on for a while or is it something that just started happening?

Thanks, Matthew for your prompt reply. It is an issue that has been going on for a while. But I just realized the website is loading quickly today.  The media resources page under resources is very slow. Can you please take a lot at that one for me? Thank you.

    Hi Eva,

It appears one of your images is causing the problem:

Try removing that photo from your Media Library and Resources page and it should load again.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Ray,

Thank you for the feedback. Please, what is the best way to solve this problem – is there a better way for me to work on the images or upload the images so they won’t cause the website to slow

    Thanks,

    Eva.

    Hi Eva,

I do not think your issue is with all your images.

I’m only suggesting to remove the one, problematic image that is causing the problem on your Resources page because if you try and load the image URL that I linked to above, the whole browser tab will fail to load and will throw an error message (tested in Google Chrome).

    Hi Eva,

Ray can correct me if I am wrong, but it appears to me that the image Ray identified as problematic is very, very large. Perhaps if you were to resize it and make it smaller, and then to upload that smaller image, that would help?
