Having a strange problem trying to set CBOX up for the first time. While I’m able to install plugins without a problem via the ftp screen, including CBOX, when prompted for ftp credentials during the 1st phase of the install, ftp fails. Permissions are fine, other plugins can be installed through the ftp screen, and there are no errors in the ftp log. In fact, there is no indication of any connection being made via ftp at all. during this initial stage of the installation. I enter the required ftp credentials, click proceed, and then get thrown back into the “Install Buddypress” screen. Looking forward to trying this out so would appreciate any clues as to the source of problem.
Also, even if I install Buddypress prior to completing the installation of CBOX, I still cannot get passed the ftp setup screen when I try to complete the installation of CBOX.

If you disable CBOX, when you try to install plugins, do you always see the FTP credentials screen?
If so, you might want to try addressing this WordPress issue.
